Overcoming Your Fear of the 3 Foot Vault

The 3 foot vault poses a problem for many people. On video it doesn’t look like much. It doesn’t sound like much either when you hear 3 feet.

But when seen in person, it looks anything but easy.

People start conjuring up images of things going wrong when jumping the vault. They suddenly develop a fear of the vault, and becoming unsure of how they would jump.

Ultimately, to conquer your fear you must face it and continually practice. If you ever get hung up on the process, take a moment or two to gather your bearings. Take a deep breath in, pause, and a long exhale. Taking your time with the steps and not rushing the process will help you in the end.
